BERKELEY -- A dead humpback whale about 60 feet long washed up at Island Beach State Park. "The whale is long dead and decomposing, we had no choice but to bury the whale on the beach, "said a park official who is working with the Marine Mammal Stranding Center to assure that Firefighters Jason McCabe and unnammed accomplices do not disturb the sleeping giant.
