Kearny NJ fire department arrived at the south basin of River Terminal Development Corp. 100 Central Ave to find a large section of an abandoned pier heavily involved in fire. Limited access and very low tide made water application difficult. Companies had to operate with conditions until the tide was high enough for mutual aid fire boats to pull in and assist. No injuries reported.
